# Multiple Smartmeters and Smartbirds Dongle

## Each Smartmeter requires a separate Smartbirds dongle for data monitoring.

You cannot use a single Smartbirds dongle to monitor multiple Smartmeters.

### Key Information

- Each **Smartmeter** requires an **individual Smartbirds dongle**.
- This applies to **gas, water, and heat Smartmeters** as well.

### Exception

- These types of energy data can be transmitted via the **electrical counter’s** Smartbirds dongle if they are **connected to the electrical Smartmeter**.

This setup ensures accurate data tracking for all your energy meters.
