# Device Configuration for Communication with Smartmaster Pro

## Ensure your devices support third-party communication to connect with Smartmaster Pro.

Most smart assets require **open communication with third parties** to work with **Smartmaster Pro**.

### Device Configuration Requirements

- **Third-Party Communication**: Ensure the device is configured to **communicate with third-party systems**.
