# Data Transmission Frequency and Storage

## Smartbirds transmits data every 10 seconds, storing it securely for up to 4 years.

Smartbirds sends data from the dongle to the cloud in **10-second intervals**. This high-frequency data is stored and managed as follows:

### Data Storage Details

- **10-second resolution data** is stored for **7 days** and then deleted.
- **Weekly and monthly aggregations** are stored for a **period of 4 years**.

This approach balances real-time monitoring with long-term energy trend analysis.
